Hunter

I have a READER! Hunter loves to read! If he isn’t reading he is on the computer looking up things about the books he is reading or playing educational games. He loves to learn, loves school and loves anything in the past! He is very into colonial times! Hunter loves the American Girl website and will go on it for hours playing games, reading stories and learning.

Hunter is in 4th grade this year with COVA! He has done a fantastic job…he stays on task and is able to complete most of his lessons with minimal intervention from me. We will talk about the topic and he will be able to complete his assignments (not perfectly but above an 80%). He loves to draw and paint! He is very good at designing things such clothes and creatures and such. Hunter is a very sensitive boy and gets his feelings hurt more times than he should…most often when it isn’t even meant to happen. We are working on “letting things roll off our backs”. He understands the concept that everyone is different and that we should embrace our differences instead of hid them! Differences are what make us who we are. It is a huge step for a 4th grade to get!! I am so proud that he loves himself for him! Animals, animals and more animals…the kid loves them! I think he would own a zoo if he was allowed to. He has wanted to be a Veterinarian (like his Uncle Alex) for as long as I can remember! He now would love to be an Author as well! Two great careers! Although, I told him if he wanted to be an Author he would need to work harder in his Composition class ;-) I was hoping that it might encourage him a little. Wow! He is a smart cookie! I love to listen to how much this kid soaks in! He likes to eavesdrop and listen into everything. He thinks that he is second in command (next to Mom and Dad) and can get on my nerves when he tells the other kids what “they should” be doing…while I am standing right there! It think he does it so that I don’t have too. I think he feels that if he steps in then I won’t get as mad…doesn’t work out usually! But it’s a nice try at least.

Hunter is my loving kiddo! He always wants to snuggle, give hugs and kisses. I think if we could be attached at the hips he would do it! He is so helpful! Always offers to help with things around the house that aren’t part of his normal chores (which is picking up toys, his room, and doing the dishes). He is most often a great big brother (and twin brother) until Emily annoys him, which can be often when they are both in that mood. He has the biggest heart! Ever!
